The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds streaked across the sky this weekend as part of the Ocean City Air show.

Their return marks their first appearance after a crash two weeks ago when Major Alex Turner ejected from his jet in a performance for commencement at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

WBOC reports that at least 300-thousand were expected to flock to the resort’s annual event.

There were more than a dozen performers this weekend ranging from military and private planes to helicopter and parachutists.

Meanwhile, the Blue Angels are expected to return next year after a crash took the life of Pilot Jeff Kuss when his aircraft crashed during a practice for an airshow in Tennessee.
