Firefly Musicians Pay Tribute to LGBT Community

The Firefly Music Festival wrapped up last night with Mumford and Sons as thousand flocked to the annual event in the Woodland near Dover’s International Speedway.

During Saturday night’s performance Florence + The Machine dedicated the song “Dog Days are Over” to the LGBT community.

In the background a rainbow flag was draped behind the band as the crowd sang with Welsh.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the dedication comes in the wake of the mass shooting at a gay night club in Orlando, Florida in which 49 lost their lives and over 50 were wounded.

Singer Dave King with the Celtic punk band also paid tribute to the victims of the shooting with the song “Whistle the Wind”.

Rainbow flags also popped out of the crowd on Sunday morning during a performance by rapper Ludacris.
