Cavaliers Country Club Development Drops Retail

catacom.com

There will be no retail establishments in the 145-acre Cavaliers Country Club development.

The Carlino Development Group based in Pennsylvania says that the change in plans comes after input from neighbors and the new home market.

Company President Peter Miller said that the new plan will be more aesthetically pleasing and in keeping with what the neighbors were looking for.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the plans originally included 379-thousand square feet of commercial in addition to some 526 homes.

Now, there will be 723 units that range from single-family homes to townhouses and apartments.

The land sits next to the Christina Mall where 1.7 million square feet of new commercial development is in the works.
