Middletown Woman Wins Miss Delaware Crown

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Middletown woman has been crowned Miss Delaware.

Local news media report that Amanda Debus won the title on Saturday night. She will go onto compete at the Miss America Pageant in September.

Debus was one of 15 contests to compete at the event in Dover Downs. She also served as Miss Delaware Teen USA 2011.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that Debus will receive a $10,000 scholarship in addition to scholarship offers from four Delaware colleges.
