Vice President Appreciates Support After Son's Death

official photos

Vice President Joseph Biden told an audience at the Delaware National Guard Headquarters that he had received a great deal of support after the loss of his son to brain cancer last year.

The Memorial Day ceremony marked the naming of the headquarters in New Castle after his son Major Joseph “Beau” Biden.

Biden joined the Delaware Army National Guard in 2003 and was deployed to Iraq with the 261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade.

His son also served two terms as the state’s attorney general.
