BALTIMORE (AP) - A precinct-level review of Baltimore's primary election has gotten underway.
The Baltimore Sun reports that workers from Baltimore and five other jurisdictions began checking documents in a west Baltimore warehouse on Monday. Officials are trying to find out how the number of votes at polls in the April 26 primary was higher than the number of people who checked in.
Maryland's State Board of Elections on Thursday ordered the city to rescind its certification of the primary results.
Members of the media and the public were barred from Monday's work. Election officials say reporters and representatives of candidates will be allowed to observe the review Tuesday morning.
