Eulalio Tordil Gave Up Guns to Court, But Kept One Used in Shootings

law enforcement

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Maryland official says a federal security officer charged with killing three people, including his estranged wife, voluntarily surrendered seven guns after a March court order and officials didn't suspect he was withholding a weapon used in the shootings.

The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that Eulalio Tordil of Adelphi turned in seven guns that were consistent with a general list of five that Tordil's wife provided in seeking a protective order against him.

She wrote he had a .40-caliber weapon, a .45-caliber weapon, a revolver, an M4 assault rifle and a hunting gun. Among the guns he surrendered was a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson. He allegedly withheld a .40-caliber Glock used in the shootings.
