creative commons

A solar power developer has plans for a 6 mega-watt commercial site on Plantation Road just northeast of Crisfield.

The project by OneEnergy Renewables would provide enough electricity for more than a 1-thousand homes from more than 21-thousand solar panels.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Maryland Public Service Commission has set a hearing for Wednesday in Princess Anne for public comment.

In addition, the Somerset County planning commission will also have to give its okay.

A final decision is expected by Marth 11th for $17 million project.
