Two hundred scientists have been laid off at DuPont’s Central Research and Development division.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that its sources say the cuts at the Experimental Station on Monday.

The cuts are part of a major set of layoffs that are expected to hit around 17-hundred positions in the company in coming months.
The paper reports that the layoffs are believes to be closely tied to a merger plan with Dow chemical later this year.
