Delaware AG Looks into Infant Death in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. (AP) - The Delaware Attorney General's Office wants to talk with parents of children who attended a Millsboro daycare where an infant died, allegedly from a medication overdose.

On Jan. 28, 2015, an employee at Handy's Little Disciples called 911 to report an unresponsive 10-month-old boy, who was taken to a local hospital, where he died, Delaware State Police said Tuesday in a news release.

The infant's death was ruled a homicide, and in July, 51-year-old Valorie Handy of Millsboro, who owned the daycare, was indicted on a charge of murder by abuse or neglect.

Troopers say the infant's death is still under investigation.
