SNOW HILL, Md. (AP) - A New Jersey man has been arrested in Maryland following a police chase.

Maryland state police say 45-year-old Dale Elderidge, Jr. was booked with DUI and related charges following Monday's chase.

State troopers responded to a call shortly after 2 p.m. about an intoxicated driver. After locating the driver, troopers attempted to pull him over but the driver failed to stop. Instead, Elderidge led authorities to a chase exceeding speeds of 100 miles per hour.

Troopers say the car eventually hit stop sticks placed by the Worcester County Sheriff's Office. The suspect crashed shortly after.

Authorities say Elderidge was taken into custody and no one was injured.

Troopers say he was held on $5,000 bond. It isn't clear if he has an attorney.
