Administration officials in Maryland say their top priority is to cut government.
That’s the word from a meeting put on by the Maryland Economic Development Association.
A press release by the Association says that the aim of the two day conference is to emphasize the importance of investing in economic development in Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Secretary of Commerce Mike Gill said he had a meeting with Governor Larry Hogan last week in which the governor emphasized tourism and the rural areas of the state.
And, that meant, he said, less regulations and lower taxes.
Meanwhile, Amanda Pollack, deputy director of public works for Salisbury, said that a major element for economic growth was infrastructure.
