There’s a free speech battle going on in Sussex county.
A Republican candidate for governor next year and two other political figures are charging that conservative blogger Frank Knotts has libeled them.
Candidate Lacey Lafterty along with Vince Calabro, a former Sussex County Republican Chairman, and Don Ayotte with the Independent Party want him to delete all references to them from the Delaware Right blog.
In addition, they say they never want him to write about them again and that they want him to pay them $60-thousand or face a civil suit.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that the issue came to light after Knotts posted a letter from attorney Anthony Delcollo.
Delcollo told the News Journal that he no longer represents the three.
