Palm Print Could Help Two Convicted in Talbot County Murder

creative commons

The Innocence Project says two men convicted of murdering 64 year-old Adeline Wilford in 1987 in Talbot County may not have done the crime.

The group says that David Faulkner and Jonathan Smith Sr. who have spent 15 years behind bars were convicted in 2000 mainly on the basis of confessions and incentivized witnesses.

WBOC reports that lawyers for the two men say a palm print -- key piece of evidence in the case – belonged to someone who had not connection to their clients.

As a result the attorneys are asking for a hearing where all the evidence can be reviewed by a judge.
