WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A fatal shooting in Wilmington has tied the city's 2014 total for people killed by guns.

The News-Journal reported Thursday that with more than two months left in 2015, the number of shooting deaths this year stands at 23.

Police say the latest victim was 22-year-old Quadrice Barksdale, killed Tuesday night in the 100 block of Lower Oak Street.

Police say there have been two homicides this year that were not shootings. That brings the total number of homicides in the city this year to 25. That's just two short of the record of 27 homicides recorded in 2010.
