Police Checkpoints Nab More DUI's

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Highway officials say 84 drivers were arrested on DUI charges in Delaware.

The Office of Highway Safety said in a news release Wednesday that seven of those arrests last week were made by the New Castle County DUI Task Force.

The effort is part of Checkpoint Strikeforce, a regional sobriety checkpoint campaign.

Officials say so far this year, there have been 3,009 DUI arrests in Delaware. During all of last year, there were 4,086 DUI arrests statewide.
