No Choice, Says William Harcum in Death of Uncle

Maryland State Police

William Harcum accused of killing his uncle Lee Harcum told witnesses that it was “him or me”.

That’s according to court documents which say that he held a bloody tractor pin as he stood in a watermelon patch in Mardela Springs where his uncle was found dead.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that John Miles, a  friend of William Harcum said that Lee Harcum was verbally abusive and intimidating.

The paper said that Miles thought William “worked in fear”.

The 31 year old Harcum has been charged with first- and second- degree murder and first- and second- degree assault.

He was held without bail on Monday at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
