Baltimore was shaken last night as looter roamed the streets, smashing windows and beating up one photographer who tried to take their picture.
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has called in the National Guard and a curfew is being imposed today from 10 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m.
The governor also declared a state of emergency.
A CVS store and a new senior center were burned down as spot fires dotted the city.
Some 15 police are believed to have been injured while around two dozen arrests have been made.
The rioting took place just hours after 25 year old Freddie Gray was laid to rest.
He died after suffering a severe spinal cord injury while in police custody.

Meanwhile, the Orioles game with the White Sox at Camden Yards was postponed just a half hour before start time because of the rioting taking place nearby.
In Washington, President Obama talked with Mayor Stephanie Ralwings-Blake.
She told the press that the city would find out if those involving in the rioting were from Baltimore or not calling them “thugs”.
Meanwhile, a senior White House senior advisor contacted Governor Hogan.
The president has also consulted with his new Attorney General Loretta Lynch who was sworn into office just hours before.
