The Rock 'n' Roll Rival will be back for its 17th year at the James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury.

135 students are warming up to dance, sing and play instruments for this year’s program entitled, ”Paint by Numbers.”

Director Christie Wersen told the Salisbury Daily Times that each song will be about colors or numbers or both.

For example, Wersen said selections such as “Yellow Submarine” and "Brown Eyed Girl” will be among the songs heard at on stage.

The show is a fundraiser that last year brought in more than $20-thousand for the school.

And how long have they been practicing?

Christie says only a few weeks.
