The grades are in from the American Lung Association for efforts to control tobacco use.
Virginia got hit with an F for tobacco prevention, smoke free-air, tobacco taxes and access to cessation services.
Meanwhile, Maryland picked up a failing grade for tobacco prevention.
But the state did get an A for smoke-free air.
The Association said Maryland still needs to do more when it comes to tobacco taxes and programs to quit smoking. It got a D.
Delaware did the best.
It recieved an A for smoke-free air and a B for Tobacco prevention.
However, when it came to programs to get people to quit smoking it got a C. And for tobacco taxes the First State received an F.
