WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wildlife officials will conduct a controlled deer hunt at Brandywine Creek State Park in Wilmington.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control said Thursday that the park will be closed to the general public during the hunt on Tuesday and Wednesday. The hunt will be conducted from deer stands.

The controlled hunt has been conducted every year since 1994 to reduce the number of white-tailed deer in the 1,000-acre park. Hunting is not otherwise permitted in the park.
