DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware business and political leaders are gathering for a summit to discuss economic development initiatives and efforts to help small businesses compete for state procurement contracts.

Gov. Jack Markell and state economic development director Alan Levin will be among the participants at Tuesday's 2014 Delaware Small Business Summit in Dover.

In delivering the keynote address, Markell will focus on an executive order he signed earlier this year to ensure that businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans and disabled individuals are represented in the state's supplier diversity initiatives.
