Former Boxwood Workers Return to Region

Some of those former employees who worked at the General Motors Boxwood plant have moved to a facility in Baltimore.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that a company official has confirmed that several Boxwood workers who are now at the Lordstown plant in Ohio will be returning to the region at the Baltimore facility.

The move comes under the contract the car company has with the United Auto Workers Union.

Clarence Davis, a spokesperson for the Baltimore plant, told the paper that the move was absolutely connected to a story by the News Journal about Boxwood workers finishing out their 30 years at a plant far from their families in order to get their pensions.
