New Trolley to Connect Downtown Salisbury and University

Salisbury city website

The City of Salisbury will inaugurate a new bus service from Salisbury University to downtown today.

It’s called the Downtown Trolley.

The service will run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The fare will be a dollar.

The project was partially funded by a $50-thousand grant from the Maryland Transit Administration in an effort to connect Salisbury University students with businesses in downtown.

Council President Jake Day says it is part of the effort to bring about a renaissance of the downtown area.
