Maryland Gas Cheaper in Salisbury

WASHINGTON (AP) - Motorists in Maryland are paying 4 cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Friday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Maryland was $3.53, down from $3.57 a week ago.

The price of gas in the state is currently a penny above the national average of $3.52.

Salisbury has some of the cheapest prices in the state at $3.43 a gallon for regular unleaded gas compared to $3.50 in Baltimore, $3.64 in Cumberland and $3.55 in Hagerstown.

Motorists in the region are paying 13 cents less than at this time last year when the average price of a gallon of gas was $3.66 per gallon.
