WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - JPMorgan Chase and Co. is planning improvements to a new office complex as the company expands in Delaware.

JPMorgan bought a 357,000 square-foot complex in Fairfax that used to be part of the AstraZeneca campus in New Castle County. JPMorgan says the space will help alleviate crowding at other locations and will allow for growth.

There are currently about 7,500 JPMorgan Chase employees in Delaware. That number has grown by about 1,200 over the past two years. About 500 more jobs are expected to be added over the next year. The company also recently bought two office buildings in downtown Wilmington.

The Delaware Economic Development Office awarded the company a $1.5 million grant to help pay for improvements at JPMorgan's Delaware facilities. The capital improvements total about $50 million.
