The Delaware State Senate took another step closer to banning the sale of e-cigarettes to minors with passage of a measure with only one no vote.
The state House of Representatives approved the Governor’s signature legislation last month.
It imposes fines and other penalties for businesses who sell to minors and to minors who buy them in Delaware.
State Representative Debbie Hudson (R-Fairhorne), a prime sponsor of the bill told WBOC that she hopes states will push the FDA to move more quickly on e-cigarettes.
So far, 25 states have similar laws.
