DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline is set to consider a consent agreement reached between a former Planned Parenthood doctor and state officials.
The News Journal reports that the board meets Tuesday to consider the case of Timothy Liveright. An attorney general's office complaint called Liveright a "clear and immediate danger to the public" and accuses him of engaging in multiple acts of incompetence and negligence in performing abortions on five patients. He was reprimanded by Planned Parenthood for unprofessional conduct and has already surrendered his license.
Liveright signed a consent agreement before a November hearing on the complaint. If the board approves the agreement's terms, details will be made public. If not, a new hearing will be scheduled.
