The Somerset County Public Library System has a new director.
She is Gail Sheldon who is currently head of a public library in Alabama.
Her start date is January 2nd.
She will be visiting the county during the second week of December to meet with the library board, staff and other officials.
Deborah Parker, president of the Somerset County Library Board of Trustees, told the Salisbury Daily Times that one of the key challenges facing Sheldon will be the construction of the new building for the Crisfield branch.
