Listeria Warning From Beebe Medical Center

Creative Commons

The Beebe Medical Center says that salads served at the hospital’s cafeterias since August may have been contaminated with Listeria.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the hospital says it is not aware of anyone becoming ill.

But officials say they wanted to put out a warning when it was discovered this month that the hospital’s food distributor “Reser’s Fine Foods” had issued a national recall on its prepackaged salads.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration also says there have been no reported cases of illness connected to recalled food.

From mid-August to October 24th the main hospital facilities and the Gull House potentially served the contaminated food.
