The Delaware Attorney General has searched the offices of 53 year old Christopher Wheeler who has stepped down as the headmaster of Tower Hill School in Wilmington.

While no charges have been filed against him, the Wilmington News Journal reports that there is a criminal investigation involving allegation of child abuse.

The paper reports that the state prosecutor says that the state has no information that a current student at the private school is implicated in the investigation.

Wheeler has been headmaster at the school since 2005.
