Somerset County is getting a permanent Superintendent of Schools.
His name is John Gaddis who has been leading the school system on an interim basis.
Board Chair William Miles earlier this week told the school system’s attorney to begin contract negotiations with Gaddis who came on in July.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Gaddis indicated his interest in the permanent job…during a review of his first 90 days in office which ended on October 1st.
Previously, Gaddis served as assistant superintendent of instruction in Worcester County and is a longtime educator from Pocomoke City.
