DOVER, Del. (AP) - Wildlife officials say more than 15,000 largemouth bass fingerlings have been stocked in Delaware waters.
The Division of Fish and Wildlife said Tuesday that over the summer, fingerlings were stocked in the Nanticoke River/Broad Creek near Laurel the Broadkill River near Milton. Fingerlings were also stocked in Records Pond near Laurel.
The stockings are part of an effort begun in 1995 to enhance Delaware's tidal bass populations and maintain a stable fishery.
