Court Battle Looms Over Maryland Guns Laws

all-free-download.com

HAGERSTOWN, Md (AP) – The state of Maryland is arguing its case for gun control.

The U.S. District court in Baltimore has given the attorney general’s office until noon Monday to file its response to a lawsuit filed law week by opponents of the state’s new gun control.

A court hearing is scheduled Tuesday, the same day the law is set to take effect.

The lawsuit says the law was passed in “flagrant disregard” of the gun rights guaranteed by the U.S. Construction’s Second Amendment.

It seeks to block implementation of the law and, ultimately, to have the court permanently bar Maryland from enforcing the law.
