OCEAN CITY, Md. - This summer, Travel Channel's Hotel Impossible made a stop in Ocean City, to help update the 94 year-old Lankford Hotel.
Visitors won't see any of the changes when they first step into the hotel; the lobby is just as it was before the television show came in, but a closer look shows some key upgrades.
WDMT reports that prior to Hotel Impossible's visit, the Lankford only accepted cash or checks and couldn't process online reservations.
Hotel Impossible did make physical changes to one room, renovating the The Crane, one of the hotel's guest apartment.
Pulling it into the present, the design team painted the room's dark, wood paneled walls white, replaced countertops, and put in a new couch and bed linen, along with other minor tweaks.
The episode featuring the Lankford Hotel airs Monday, September 23rd, but staff at the Lankford say the buzz has already picked up, and they're hoping the momentum keeps rolling.
