Sunfest is back again.

And thousands are expected flood Ocean  City for one last blast of summer before the tourist season ends.

The 39th annual event is just one of a number that the resort uses to attract visitors.

Susan Jones, the executive director of the Ocean City Hotel, Motel, Restaurant Association, says, "This particular festival has been around for a very long time. So its really well know and people tend to make it a traiditon and...kind of make that their vacation."

And tourists should expect vendors ranging from T-Shirt sellers to those selling back pain products ato line up for Ocean City's last major event of the season.  as the resort wraps up the tourist season.

Jones says, "There's always lots to eat and plenty of free entertainment." She adds "We see that anytime there is an event on the weekend we certainly have a better occupancy in the hotels and more people dining out when they're here."

Motorists are advised to avoid traffic congestion by traveling early in the morning and late in the evening.
