Grayling Industries website

There was a grand opening yesterday in Seaford for ILC Dover’s new Grayling Industries plant that could bring 120 new full-time jobs to the state.

The 90-thosuand square foot facility will produce products ranging from Guardian protective packaging for food and pharmaceutical dry power to leading brands for asbestos abatement.

These production lines are being moved from Juarez, Mexico after ILC Dover got a Strategic Fund Performance Grant of $364-thousand as well as up to $187-thousand in a Strategic Fund Capital Expenditures Grant.

WBOC reports that ILC Dover Program Manager Tony Asti said that the company has spent nearly $1.2 million to renovate and transform the old DuPont Nylon Manufacturing building in Seaford.

ILC official William Wallach said the plant would bring the total number of ILC jobs in the state to 560.
