Michael Zimmerman Gets Hearing in Campaign Finance Scandal

bbcpropertiesinc

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A Kent County judge is holding a hearing in the case of a prominent Dover developer accused of making illegal campaign contributions to Gov. Jack Markell in 2008.

Michael Zimmerman is charged with making campaign contributions to Markell during the 2008 governor's race without divulging their true source.

Zimmerman initially pleaded not guilty last month, but attorneys later told the court that they had reached a plea agreement in the case. The plea agreement is the subject of a court hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
