Del Monte Fresh Produce Company is coming to Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
It purchased over 24-hundred acres on the shore and 33-hundred in Florida along with labor camps in both states.
Northampton County Economic Development director Charles McSwain told the Salisbury Daily Times that he believed this would be a boon for the region providing a greater market reach for local producers.
