Olde Princess Anne Days Moved to December

visitmaryland.org

For the first time since 1958 there will be no Olde Princess Anne Days house and garden tour this October.

The reason is declining attendance and ticket sales in recent years.

Organizers told the Salisbury Daily Times that the drop occurred a few years ago when Pemberton Historical Park began holding the Maryland Autumn Wine Festival on the same weekend.

And revenue has been sliding as well.

Bonnie Stone, Treasurer of the Historical Society, said last year’s profits coming in at around $6-thousand.

So, this year it will be combined with an annual Christmas house tour scheduled for December 7th.
