Markell Drumming Up Global Business in Australia

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware Gov. Jack Markell is in Australia this week to participate in the Australian American Leadership Dialogue.

The annual forum starts Thursday in Sydney, where Markell plans to build on his efforts to include Delaware in discussions about an increasingly global economy.

Some 150 delegates, including CEO's, foreign affairs and trade officials from more than 40 companies, are expected at the meeting.

The governor's office says trip costs are provided by AALD and are not paid with state funds, and that no members of Markell's staff or cabinet traveled with him.
