Delmarvans React to US Supreme Court Decisions on Same-Sex Marriage

The U-S Supreme court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act paving the way for same-sex married couples to receive federal benefits got a positive reception on Delmarva.

Both Govs. Jack Markell and Martin O’Malley praised some of the justices, saying the decision upheld civil rights and equality.

But O’Malley said there is still work to be done on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
