Somerset County will get an outsider to temporarily oversee its troubled school system.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that board Chair William Miles confirmed that an interim superintendent will be announced at tonight’s meeting.
He told the paper that the selection is “nobody from the Central Office.”
Miles said the person was recommended by a consultant for the Maryland Association of Boards of Education.
The recommendations for the interim post follows the abrupt departure of Marjorie Miles who announced several months ago that she was leaving midway through her contract.
