The Pentagon is now facing a loss of nearly a half a billion dollars over the next decade.
During the annual meeting of the National Guard Association of Delaware had this warning for the audience, “Remember 9/11?“
In its aftermath the Reserves became a key component in manning the military operations abroad in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that Vavala said that the Pentagon had spent $12 million to prepare the reserves for those kinds of operations…and now those same troops are being “off-ramped.”
