A new study fonds that of the nearly 95-thousand households that rent in the state of Delaware 28% are spending more than 50% of their income for housing.
That’s the conclusion of a new report by the Delaware Housing Coalition today.
The group also looked at the homeless.
The Coalition found that there are around 1-thousand Delawareans who are identified as homeless on any given night and 6-thousand state residents that experience homelessness during the year.
Meanwhile, the median purchase price for a house in the First State ranges from nearly $185-thousand in Kent County to nearly $239-thousand in Sussex County
