No Bond For Alleged Arsonists on Virginia Eastern Shore

Virginia State Police mugshot

38 year-old Charles Smith has reportedly admitted to setting 52 arson fires in Accomack County since mid-November.

That’s according to court documents.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that a search Warrant filed with the circuit court says that Smith also reportedly said that 40-year-old Tonya Bundick set 15 of them.

General District court Judge Gordon Vincent denied bond has denied bond for both defendants.

Smith’s attorney had argued that the crimes his client is charged with were only property crimes and did not injure anyone.

The two were arrested after an arson in Melfa on April 2nd.
