Delaware Attacks Ticket Scalping at State Fair

DOVER, Del. (AP) - State lawmakers are set to vote on a bill that would prohibit ticket scalping for concert events at the Delaware State Fair.

The House was scheduled to vote Thursday on the bill, which would bar anyone from selling, reselling or exchanging state fair concert tickets at a price higher than the original price on the day before or day of the concert.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor.

Similar prohibitions already exist for NASCAR races in Dover and events at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter center.
