DOVER, Del. (AP) - Thursday is the last day for nominations for the governor’s volunteer award for young people.
It's the last day officials in Delaware will be accepting nominations for the Governor's Outstanding Youth Volunteer Service Awards. The nominations can be e-mailed, faxed or dropped off at the State Office of Volunteerism in Dover. Officials already extended the awards deadline once to encourage nominations. The awards honor individuals, school organizations and community groups for
their volunteer work in the state. Individual nominees must have volunteered at least 50 hours and must be 18 years old and younger. Groups have to have volunteered 100 hours. An awards ceremony is planned for April 25 in Dover.
