Same Sex Marriage Gets Union Support in Delaware

canstockphoto.com

The push for same sex marriage legislation in Delaware got the backing of three major labor unions.

The Delaware State AFL-CIO, the Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council and the Delaware Public Employees Council 81-AFSCME are urging legislators to support a marriage equality bill this session.

WDEL radio reports that the three groups represent 40,000 Delawareans who say passage of such a measure is merely a sign of treating all people fairly in Delaware.
