A new building to house the Art League in Ocean City is is expected to see a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 1st after more than a year and a half of waiting.
The Ocean City Center for the Arts will host the League’s classes in painting, photography and pottery as well as provide five studios that will be available for rent for working artists.
In addition, Executive Director Rina Thaler told the Salisbury Daily Times that it will expand its children’s programming with a $25-thousand grant from the PNC Foundation.
She also wants to open a facility for those in their 20’s and 30’s who live in the area.
The Art League raised $200-thosuand over a ten year period with Ocean City kicking in $600-thousand.
